Lobstering
Recreational spiny lobster harvesting can be a major Florida Keys seasonal activity when legally open. A valid Florida recreational saltwater fishing license with a lobster permit is required, and harvest is limited to legal-sized lobsters within approved areas during open seasons.
Spiny lobster seasons, bag limits, licenses and legal harvest areas are regulated by FWC and may change. Certain sanctuary, park and protected areas prohibit lobster harvest.
Marine Protected Areas
